Dyckia Bronze Fosteriana hybrid

This Dyckia Bronze Fosteriana hybrid is a one of a kind seedling plant that I have now produced by offsets so that every plant will be exactly the same. I chose this seedling to propagate because it gets a nice bronze color to the leaves when they are in full sun and have nice white teeth. The most outstanding attribute is the large, 9 inch wide, branching flower spikes (seen below), and the tightly packed bright orange flowers. The first year this plant flowered it produced a single flower spike, but by the second year they branched. This Dyckia has the most impressive flower display than any other Dyckia in my collection. It just goes to show you how Dyckias just getting better looking over time. This hybrid is fairly cold hardy but showed some damage under 17F. A single headed plant can be 24 inches wide but clusters will get larger over time.
